Aftermath free with gold purchase??

When we purchased GOLD package hl2 did it come with Aftermath when it becomes available.???? I thought it was.

Since Episode 1 (Aftermath) is standalone and doesn't require Half-Life 2 in order to play that's probably another reason why it isn't included.

Valve is already selling the game at a low price of $20. If they made it free to those who purchased the Gold package, well, that wouldn't really be that great of a marketing decision, would it?

No the only thing that was promised to Gold package that wasn't release was DoD:S which is now avaliable, you have everything that was promised to you now.
