Well CTF Because most people dont play CTF but instead jsut have a brawl in the middle building

2fort and well ctf, one thing that especially annoys me about 2fort is that right spawn point, you always spawn at it at the worst times.

P.S. anyone voting for dustbowl fails. Yes, you might 'overplay' it and get annoyed, but that doesn't mean it's a bad map.
 
Hydro for me. Granary can be pretty good when the teams are even.

I love all the maps but I would have to say ctf_well, it never has any extreme action...

Also, why do you people hate Hydro, Hydro is one of the best maps out there. At the minute tc_hydro and cp_well are my favourites. When pl_goldrush is released I might have a re-think ;)
 
I don't understand how you could hate 2fort.

Badlands is WAY underrated.
 
wow, why do so many people dislike Granary? I love that map! I voted Well CTF, mostly because there's SO much room between flags.
 
I don't understand granary hatred either. What specifically is the problem? I usually take a good game of granary whenever I can get it
 
granary cause it's just a long line
and after that well ctf cause it's to big for a ctf map
 
I think people have grown used to small ctf maps simply because we've had no ctf fix other than 2fort for so long. There's nothing that says a ctf map has to be small however... well and rock2 in the old days weren't exactly tiny. In the old days people used to relish the challenge and time required in capping too. With TF2 people seem to be all about the quick blustery match that ends definitively - no one likes stalemates any more, but some of my most enjoyable matches have been close-fought stalemates :/

I quite like ctf_well. It just pisses me off that no one plays it. Often when I play it it's on a half empty server, which certainly makes it seem a huger map than it is.
 
Well just isn't as fun for me as it was back in TFC. Something's missing. Probably has to do with the massive reworking of the map's middle.
 
I like every map, but if i have to name the worst it gotta be Granary, only because it takes a hell of a time to run from spawn to the second last control point, let this be a slap in the face to engineers who dont understand placing teleporters :angry:
 
granary is flat and boring, it would be easily recreated in the doom engine ffs.

HYDRO gets my vote
 
ctf_well is the worst, it was made for cp and cp only.

granary is one of the best maps after dustbowl.
 
Funnily enough the two maps I love most got the most votes. They are spy maps ideal for sneaking due to their many crevices and blind spots.
 
Granary is a horrible wide bitch of a map with no real redeeming features EXCEPT for the middle control box point, which I love dearly.

I also don't like Badlands that much or 2Fort in stalemate. Hydro can be a **** too.
 
CTF_Well is the one map I've never had fun on. Granary has some intense flow albeit no appreciable z-axis, Badlands can be a little dull but only because nobody plays it enough to get to know it well... but CTF_Well just seems like a pointless distortion of a better map.
 
I don't dislike Granary at all. It's quite a nice break. But I don't like the phrasing "worst". I don't think any of them are particularly bad. I chose cp_well, although in hindsight, I should have gone for Hydro.

I've not played Badlands in a while...
 
Hydro, closely followed by ctf Well.
 
I know you'll hate me for this, but Dustbowl

I just cant find myself appreciating this map at all.
 
Hydro can be pretty good sometimes...I put well_ctf because its a little bigger than I would like...I dunno, a remake of a CP to CTF isn't that appealing. Granary can be good with a full server, and a good team, and same with Hydro.
