Age of Conan: new previews

for those who dont know, Age of Conan is a mmorg set in the conan universe and promises to deliver some interesting things to the genre ..I'm specifically excited about the universe but also partaking in huge invasions complete with seige engines and an army of npcs to back me up ..I've been following this since it was announced (last month :E ) and it seems pretty interesting. Here's some features:

• Explore Hyboria, the legendary world of Conan, presented in incredible graphics and sound.

• Emerge as a hero from a story-driven single-player experience and embark into even greater adventures in the multiplayer part of the game. The branching single-player story is created by the award-winning writers behind The Longest Journey, Dreamfall and Anarchy Online so expect a rare treat.

• Experience Funcom’s revolutionary “Real Combat” engine. A new multi-point melee system allows the players to swing their weapons where they direct it, in real-time, going head-on against the formulaic nature of online RPG combat.

• Create player-made battle formations, and command both NPC’s and other players in epic multiplayer battles.

• Form guilds in the multiplayer game and lay siege to hostile castles. Let the catapults sing their merry song of death as the enemy is brutally crushed to a pulp.

there's a lot more features such as: multiple types of mounts including player crushing elephants (hehe), bar brawls, drinking! blood and gore and real time combat

hellooo!?! am I the only conan fan here? if you like mmorgs this game promises to deliver a unique vision in fantasy games ...D and D this is not, far darker with adult themes

looks like more of the same, then again I am burned out on MMORPGs, especially after WoW.

from the videos and screen shots I have seen of the game, the armor and creature designs seem sub par (big deal in an MMORPG, especially armor designs) however that is simply a personal opinion... I don't like the gladiatorial look they are going with.

however the real-time combat sounds intriguing, lets see how that pans out.

What?! Conan is awesome, as is Arnie. Although in all honestly, the game looks like a turd trapped in an extremely high pressured rectum, waiting to be spewd out all over the wall, ricocheting off and absorbing into the water vapor, the next day it will rain poop.
