Age Of Empires 3 - E3 Video

Looks great for a crappy video. The physics make it so much cooler.

it looks incredible! I can't wait til E3. We will be seeing videos of a lot of groundbreaking games plus a look at some amazing new technology (Revolution *fingers crossed*) It's going to be a great week!

i never thought the physics will work out in RTS , but after i saw this video it look amazing how building go down ^^

*throws pop rocks and pop into Ritz' mouth*

boom.

/me joins Rits in a static state of amazement
:bounce:  :O

is this for real? i almost had a heart attack when those two soldiers got hit by a cannonball and got knocked off the cliff..... f*cking amazing, if any RTS can get me back into the genre, it's this one, hands down

how do I get the video working..doesn't work for me.

EDIT: Nevermind got it working :)

Sooo anyone got an E3 ticket they want to give me?

So now we know it's physics, but how much do we know of it's gameplay?

Hehe, i hate strategy games but one that i loved few years back was Age of Empires :>

I thought the days when ragdolls gave people a boner were over a long time ago? Can't really say the video makes me excited in any way.

when was the last time you saw ragdolls in an RTS?...... that's what i thought, anyway, it's just the fact that RTS are evolving to stand up graphically to the other genres, which i think is important for bringing new players into the fold, though gameplay is what will keep them there, and AoE III looks like it'll deliver, I especially like the Home City idea

Not to mention how much better physics will look like when Ageia bring out their new PPU  .

Explosions, Implosions, etc.

In the future, games will be fuzzy.

I can't wait for a high-res version.

Whether it be in an RTS or FPS, it doesn't get my penis up anymore, sorry.
Besides, physics were already pretty well implemented in Soldiers: HoWWII, and in an actually functional way too, including proper building destruction so I don't see the big deal about flying soldiers.

Graphics look nice. Physics are kinda cool 'n all but they don't make a game. It's gotta have some good strategy elements like WC3 for me to want to try it. Too many RTS games are just about getting the largest army.

Let's hope that won't kill my computer. What do you think the minimum system specs will be?

super cool :P can't be arsed with watching video however, AOE3 is defainly coming :D thats good enough for me. The AOE series is great online... although I do suck at it :(

It looks... Looks was the worst word to ever use in that sentence.
You are saying the Gameplay LOOKS like it will keep them there. Yet... we know very little about it. It looks, yes it LOOKS great. LOOKS are not everything.
All im saying is you have very little to base that the gameplay will deliver. Ragdolls do not change gameplay, just visuals. They are just visuals, nothing more really.

Except in HL2 when without ragdolls a "Weapon"(People) would be missing and really couldn't of been done.

Well you would definitely want a dx9 video card, a gig of RAM and atleast a 2ghz processor for relatively smooth gameplay imo. Just a guess from looking at the video, but kinda hard to know for sure.
