My geography teacher gave us this article about people that were trying to keep Walmart out of their town .

My calculus teacher talked about the Walmart founder like he was some kind of hero.. of calculus. Every time we talked about derivatives and slopes he would bring up how Walmart looks at these graphs of how much of an item is purchased over time and use that to determine where it would peak and when they should stop buying so many to sell.

He also treated Andrew Wiles like a hero but that's because Andrew Wiles WAS a hero! He spent 7 years proving Fermat's Last Theorem... which ultimately has no applications to the real world, haha.

And all Chinese grocery stores sell live fish. They usually have a bunch of tanks with fish, lobsters, crabs, etc.

But it's Wal-Mart, and they have turtles D:!

Up here in Alaska we haven't allowed them to be supermarkets, so it's kinda weird to me. They have two general stores in Anchorage, and they are trying to build a huge store in southtown, but we were like "NOE GET TFO."
