Will card manufacturers continue to support AGP as the years go on? Or by next generation we'll be seeing pci-e only?

I am not sure, but I believe it will take at least until the second half of '05 to see a slip in the support of AGP cards.

I read somewhere that in Q1 2006 manufacturers will stop making AGP cards.

Yep. By 2006 AGP will be extinct.

Yes for a bit they will still make AGP cards, I think the next generation of Nvidia and ATi cards will still have AGP, however the generation after that will probably be near the release of Longhorn and AGP and DDR also will be gone by then.

Probably unless they come up with something new.

For all intents and purposes, AGP is done by next year. They want to quickly shift to PCI express to encourage upgrades and simplify the number of cards they have to produce.

I highly doubt that next year's high end card will be available in AGP form.

But all it will take is a simple board change, to one that supports PCI-Express of course. ;)
