AI Disable for retail

First of all, I know most of you be like "OMG AI DISABLE WAREZ" but uh no, sorry.

I'm curious how many RETAIL users are plagued by this rare AI Disabled bug.

I have retail (ATI Coupon upgraded to Silver) and then 1-2 days ago I load up HL2, load a custom map and it said AI Disabled... So I tried the console command, no dice... So then I was like "Hmmm it's probably the map that is screwed up" so I load up a HL2 map (it was the first coast one where you just get the buggy d2_coast_01 I think) and then it still said AI Disabled.... Wierd, but I tried the console command and luckily the AI got enabled

So then I reloaded the custom map (hoping I fixed it, thinking it was a command that just got locked) but again, the AI was disabled.....

Thus I had to resort to deleting all of Steam (GCF's and all, although I didn't have to I wanted to be safe) so I just redownloaded everything in a night (all source games and such, <3 to my DSL Modem) and then it worked.... Not sure what could have caused it to lock on custom maps.

So if you are a retail user who has this problem, tell us which version you bought and when the problem started and if you were running custom maps. Maybe there is some sort of similarity (I will put my money on custom maps though)

And also this is to inform ppl that when ppl say they have AI Disabled, don't instantly jump on them and say "WAREZ OMG LIEK HACKS!" plz because there is some sort of bug in the retail

Unfortunately everything was deleted so I can't go through my files and see what was changed, but bleh was it annoying.

So again, if you are a retail user and are experiencing this problem, post here which version, when it started, custom maps yay/nay

Hey...I got the same problems too..i bought the retail version of HL2..damn its irritating...but wat i think is that whenever a cheat is activated,this error occurs..can i know how to fix it?
