This is truly bizarre gentlemen:

Al-Qaeda's terrifying vision of a devastated America in the wake of a nuclear attack ... is ripped off from Fallout 3. Apparently they're fans...

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/uncertain-world/2053942/SITE%27s-embarrassment-as-Islamist-%27Washington-apocalypse%27-image-turns-out-to-be-from-Fallout-3-game.html

This image of Washington after a nuclear holocaust, which a US intelligence group claimed showed the ambition of Islamic extremist terrorists, was actually lifted from a computer game.

If Bethesda is smart, they can spin this as positive PR...

I think what's really interesting about this story is the idea that the picture is taken from a "terrorist forum." Is there really a forum out there, in most respects very like our own, with the varied cast of trolls, newbies, cynics, intellectuals, idealogues and artists that we entertain? A forum with its own in-jokes, memes and persistent threads - where image macros and videos are posted, debates happen about how the forum should be organised and why people have been banned, where arguments constantly erupt and just as quickly die down. A forum in all of these respects quite normal - and yet, in one very important way, different - because the subject of the forum is not half-life 2 but bringing together the Islamic world for a final crusade in order to smash the western devils!

This is intriguing. Would there be an Islamic Extremist Image Dump thread? Would nerds scrutinise and dissect each video released by Al-Quaeda? Would arguments flare up in the Islamic Extremist Politics Forum as 'liberals' sought to defend those Muslims who refused to immigrate into Western countries, or even (gasp) those who lived in western countries already? And would there be constant unending debate about the definition of the word 'Islamist'?

Maybe we should create a thread or even a section of the forum where we all pretend to be islamic extremists.

Even more intriguing is the thought that there may very well be a radical Islamist version of knghnry or kathatsung.

If this news story is anything to go by, then Islamic Extremist Kathaksung is identical to normal kathaksung in all but one respect - he is right.

I heard Josef Fritzel likes George Bush. BAN GEORGRE BUSH.

I'm just glad that they picked Fallout 3 rather then something like Hello Kitty Online.

there's a doomsday scenario where ww3 takes place between china and europe ...the US is unable to participate as they recovering from a nuclear attack that's devasted many US cities ..it was a terrorist attack ...dum dum DUM!!!

You know we'd all get arrested by the FBI.

By the way, the second link is gone.
