Anyone who knows if there are coming any other Alien films ( Alien, Aliens, Alien 3 and Alien Resurrection ) i mean those films are awsome, brilliant, perfect. Why wouldnt there be a new one too ?

EDIT: Or Ripley died, and what would an Alien film be with a Ripley Clone ?
guess AvP ended the story. :( :(

I thought there was a fifth Alien film penned where the Aliens reach earth... although it's been a while since I heard anything about it.

Hmm, that's interesting. Well we can assume any development for Predator 3 was folded into AvP.
I really hope there is an Alien 5. Resurrection was a bit of a disapointment, it didn't 'feel' like an Alien film to me, more a generic genre film with, similar with AvP I would guess. But Resurrection was almost redeemed by the setup. Aliens on Earth would be amazing (I'm thinking urban fighting, screaming crowds, refugees) and a suitable conclusion (whatever the outcome) for such an epic story. Some of the non-canon Aliens novels explored the results of the aliens on Earth - good stuff, if a bit depressing!

I'm a huge fan of the first two films (but I must say the basic concept behind the last two were dire. Let's kill off all the characters people have come to know and care for, then suddenly resurrect them. hmm.. ), and I'm a huge fan of the Dark Horse comics. There was a certain comic (Earth wars) that centred around the invasion of earth (It was written before Alien 3, so Ripley was in it!), and while the concept and the preliminary comics were fantastic, the actual comic turned out to be.. well... crap. So I'll be looking forward to 2007, when I can see the invasion of Earth in all it's terrifyingly depressing wonderfulness.

There was some talk of James Cameron and Ridley Scott doing a collaboration on Alien 5 (just a rumor mind you) if AvP wasn't made, but since it was made they scrapped plans. They said that you make movies like AvP when a franchise is dieing.

If you've read the Alien book Genocide, I think thatd make a pretty good movie. Think I read Earth Wars as well, but cant really remember it. Or it might have been Female War. Its one of the two anyway.

Genocide was a kick ass comic. The whole other-Alien-race was cool.

I would like to see another Alien film. Yes, yes I would. On the subject, the only news I have heard close to a new film is about the new Predator film which I have heard is meant to be the Predators invading earth (wtfolol?) But I heard this news quite a while ago.

I remember reading some utterly bizarre rumours about Alien 5 ages back. One was that they were trying to get both Arnorld Schwarzenegger and Sigourney Weaver in on it.

IMO Alien is a pretty much a trilogy. Alien (1) and Aliens (2) are awesome, Alien 3 was a very mediocre but just about passable rounding off of the story, and then Resurrection comes along and turns out to be a film so bad it's painful to watch. I didn't even bother with AvP, I was able to guess what it would have been like.

Aliens would mince Preds anyway, you wouldn't see Danny Glover beating up a Xenomorph.

I also liked the idea of the 'Elephant' race being involved - the same species that was in the control room in the alien ship in Alien. Involved in 'Earth Hive' at least. Kind of gave everything a good circularity.

Well now with the half alien half predator creature that ended up at the ending of alien vs/ predator I imagine they'll do something with that, it'd be some mad whack shit yo

Alien 5 (or AvP2) should have a fight between that thing (Predalien?) and the Newborn from Resurrection.

Taht wou1d b teh ultmitate kcick-aasz!!!

Rumours say there's two more Alien movies planned, where they reach earth and everyone has to save America etc.. And a Predator 3 in which Arnold and Glovers characters are being taken to the Predator planet to battle in some tournament.

Is Arnie still making movies, though? I thought that was all over.

I think arnie is a lil too old for fighting aliens, danny glover isn't that young either to say the least lol

I thought Cameron decided to make an Alien 5 where Alien 3 and resurection were just dreams?

Genocide was pretty good, yea. My favorite comic was "Stronghold" though, if you ever see that, buy it! It has a talking alien for gods sake, and not in a bad way! The next best one is "Laberynth" in my opinon.

Oh and "Female war" is Earth war, but they changed the name when converting the comics into a graphic novel.

Ridley Scott has been recently quoted as saying that he'd do an Alien 5 if the script was good.

My personal favourite idea would be if Scott did a prequel explaining the origins of the Xenomorphs, and if Cameron did an Aliens sequel (ignoring Alien 3 and Resurrection) with lots of kick-arse Alien-killing action, preferably on Earth.

I wish they'd just leave it alone, tbh. The 4 films, as they stand, is enough.

Alien & Aliens should've been the only ones ever created.
The rest just killed it.

Genocide has a lot of alien killing, a bit on Earth but mostly on another planet, and hardly any acid-burning (hard to not spoil why). Only read the book, not the comic, but some descriptions seemed pretty nice and gory.
Has there ever been any hint of an explanation of where Xenomorphs originated? I thought the Predators bio-engineered them as the perfect prey, might have got that from one of the movies.

What i never understood was how do the Alien movies look so good? I mean they were made so long ago and it looks like they were made in 2005. Am i the only one who thinks this?

No idea, but i love the Alien costumes, they are unique and if there were aliens id like them to look like that :D

the aliens are a disease..a cancer spreading across the universe! I have loved the alien since I saw the commercial for the original movie when I was 3..

more facehugging, chestbursting action is always good in my book,so I hope they do another..AvP wasn't bad but it wasn't very good either..it had a good setup(Weyland/Yutani Corp.) for the "future" movies to tie it together, but overall it was cheesy..

the Dark Horse comics are the best Aliens/Predator stories out there IMO..if you haven't checked them out,do it! now!!

Personally, I think they should have left the Alien films alone ages ago... The first two are superb films... 3 was a snore fest and they killed off all the characters... Haven't seen ressurection, but I hear it's even worse.
