Taking the infamous "Grey Alien" as our main focuse of this question, what kind of planet/environment would it take to shape a species like this? I've always been curious about this. Perhaps because of the lack of hair a warm planet? Or lack of light causing the light grey skin? Supposing that this humanoid actually existed, what type of environment do you think it would have to live in to cause it's attributes?

Perhaps a terraformed planet. For instance, maybe it started out like us, conquered the planet, controlled the climate and ecology, then physically declined.

If it was a cold planet the greys would probably have evolved with a lot more fur/fat to conserve heat. They would probably 'run' excessivly hot as well. (Humans run at about 37 C)

grayish, hairless skin, large eyes, maybe a formerly subterranian species?

The big black eyes, i whould say it's a dark place. Gravity light, seeing how tall and skinny they are.

everything you needd to know well almost everything site has been put under the spot light recently. People say wether its all fake and some say its true.

It take a good half day maybe more to go though it all but it explains the aliens enviroment of their new home (find out why inside)the of planet night day etc time there etc.

Something along the lines of what a combine homeworld would look like :D

Some guy at the Empires forum said something about twice the gravity would make humans smaller, but a lower air pressure would make them the same size again. So probably a higher gravity / higher air pressure

It took Earth to shape a species such as that. No lie.

The fact it has an almost human form, standing up on two legs, two arms, a thorax, neck with a head on it, like we are annoys me. If we get conclusive evidence of other life its going to look like a hedge, with a trunk, 4 wheels, no legs or arms as it can move things telekinetically. Theres not going to be another earth with the exactly conditions to allow evolution like we did, so aliens we find will be uncomprehendable for us to understand. All our points of reference won't be of use. Fo Sho.

That was pretty funny to read...

There is a main problem with this theory that the aliens look very much like us...
Everything on earth, animals, plants, bacteria are all related, and all have a common ancestor. Look at the variety of these life-forms. Now, imagine a life form that's not related to us whatsoever. If our "relatives", the plants or the bacteria, are so enormously different from us, what are the odds that a life form that aren't related to us still look very much like us? Next to none.
