Aliens in Earth?

How did the Aliens get to earth? Why are they just living there? Talking about the headcrabs and those green slavelike beings.

I played it. The aliens were inside Black Mesa.. but how does this mean that they came to earth and settled everywhere? Started living everywhere?

Well... What started in Half-Life 1 carried on. Teleportation "Ripples" spread over the earth, translocating Xen wildlife (Headcrabs and Barnacles, as well as Icthyosaurs and supposedly Gargantuas, Bullsquids and Houndeyes) to Earth, as well as the Vortiguant aliens. The Teleportation events stopped due to the efforts of characters in the HL1 games (I assume). Freeman killed the Nihlilianth and freed the Vortiguant, Shepherd probably helped by killing that obese tentacle thingy and the Women HEV Suiters in Half-Life Decay (HL PS2 version only) did something or rather that stopped the resonance cascade.

So basically, all the aliens ended up on Earth and can't get back. Now they're here and adapting to survive, making more remote regions hard to inhabit, forcining many people into the cities.
