Aliens - M41A Pulse Rifle

Hi,
Made this last night. Its a gun im making for a character im gonna make, once i start the (ballistic's) Zbrush Character Workshop.
It's a gun seen in the second Alien movie (Aliens), used by the Marines.

12,000 polys / 6 hours of modelling

Ah yeah! I think its called the "smart gun"... coolest gun ever.
Im gonna model the flamethrower instead. Shell be standing on a base (turntable i believe they call it) covered with eggs, with the flamethrower/pulse rifle combo.

Also im leaving Newt out of the picture, she had an perfect/horrible role in Aliens. "The mostly come at night... mostly..." arg... :hmph:

They just strapped a german MG42 onto a steadicam girdle for that IIRC. Anyhows nice modelling Dodo.

Anyway, the 3D model looks awesome, Dodo, although I can't vouch for it's accuracy, seeing as I think I've only seen Aliens twice, and I wasn't paying that much attention to the firearms. :rolling:
