all 6 vids pre-determined size?

anyway, the 6 vids altogether are 648mb in size; these should fit exactly on a 650mb cd, which is very convenient, so I'm wondering if Valve made the decision to make it easier for us to back up, or if it's a coincidence, who knows good thing tho

The funny thing is when you click on "HL2 Movies" and click properties, it says they're a total of 400MB. I know they're not.

probably a coincidence, because theres like at least two more coming.

that refers to the size of the gcache.gcf file, not the media extracted from it.

we know that, but.. what I mean is, that after a certain number of vids, they end up fitting exactly.. for all we knew, after six vids, they could have turned out to take up 670mb, requiring a 700mb cd, or taking away one vid, making it maybe 600mb, thereby wasting some space just thought it was funny..

Oh I see. But it would have been better if Valve included the media size also.

i thought that cs:cz included hl2 media..... perhaps that's why they could have set the size it should be... about 700 mb to fit on 1 cd. or maybe 800mb on a 90 min cdr
