Well folks Im going to an all night lan party :) man I cant wait! The games that will be played.

NOLF 1 and 2
quake III
doom 3 multiplaye beta version :)

and others that i cant talk about :)

What are you guys doing tonight?

What do you mean you cant talk about the other games. What kind of games are they? Pin the tail on the small girl?

Whats so gay about it? Just a bunch of men, a bunch of computer games, all trying to kill each other!. Getting all sweaty and hot in a small room, showing true love for your fellow friend as he saves your life.....
 
exactly dark, in short terms

lan parties are just virtual realities, in the real world people are all sweaty and killing eachother ^_^

I'm not talking about a LAN party, they don't even know what a LAN is. I was saying that my friends think PC gaming in general is gay. They're just not into PC stuff, the only thing they know how to do is email, download music, IM and surf the web... they could careless about anything else. Though it would great be if they were into PC gaming, so we can have a LAN party.

My friends are pretty much like that too. Although i have one who is into it a lot so that is cool. My cousin likes it to, but wont admit it because hes afraid of looking geeky.
 
Strange, do you guys go to college or still in High School?
I didn’t know many gamers when I was in school, but moving into dorm it seems that people like to spend their time playing games, going into clubs, doing anything, but studying for classes. Even girls play games with us sometimes, but again, I live in San Francisco and it is one weird city.
 
Almost every guy I know is at least a little into video games (I go to highschool). The only people I see in school that are truly ignorant about PC games are girls, but even alot of girls I know play video games.
 
The only people at college i know who play games i don't like. They think they are somehow better than everyone else. They have taken the whole geek persona and tried to turn it around, making them into some kind of elite. Of course, no one else believes it, but they do and it gets on my nerves, because they are no different to anyone else, yet they think they are. They try to be different by doing "different" things, but they end up just looking like morons. I wish people wouldn't focus on being different, because that ultimately makes them like everyone else. The only way to be truly different is to not try and be anything. Just be yourself, don't bother writing all over your clothes (yes, one of them did that) just to try and stand out. Everyone in the college is the same even though they all think they are better than each other. Its sad really.

Thats right, i just hope we can get more people to come soon, and then we can play a real game of cs and also ts. If we get enough we might even be able to play ns ^_^
 
Lol, all my friends in college think that I haven't played games for like 5 years. It's gona be a shocker when I tell them that I installed CS this summer.
 
how the hell do u guys have a lan party where u do it? how much it cost etc....
 
You just bring a computer and router(if he doesn't already have one) over to you friends house and get a cable for each computer and start gaming. Besides the cost of the router and cables its free.
 
1. You must have a computer.
2. You must have a hub/router/switch(I like my 48 port)
3. You must have cable/wireless equiptment ready
4. You must have some very good games.
5. You make sure that every persion that comes brings a pizza and some mountain dew.

Well I had fun last Friday :) Played all the games in the list plus some I still cant talk about. I forgot to get my dig cam :( so no pics. The last game we played was and oldie but a goodie. Atomic Bommerman

Only time i get to do it, is when My cousins come round at Christmas. One of them brings a computer. This year it should be fun because im getting a new computer, my brothers might be as well. That will mean will could have five or possibly even 6 computers that could play dent games, not just stuff like GTA2 (which is actually great fun over lan but is getting old now)


Why cant you talk about these games? What is so special about them? Im not bothered if you tell me what they are, i just want to know why you cant tell us.
 
well lets gust say our nazi friends at microsoft wouldnt be happy. Also some other peeps at that are working on doom 3 wouldnt be all that happy eather.
