Anyone see the trailer yet? Looks like total shit. I never played all the games only the third game and i remmeber it had a dark atmosphere in this haunted house type thing. This new movie looks like something TOTALY different from the game. Looks cheesy as hell. Another movie-to-game tragedy

I never know exactly what it is I'm seeing as I watch the career arc of Uwe Boll. I've thus far considered him to be a kind of perpetual failure machine, like some lever is constantly being pulled and questionable films are being produced which are perceived by the optic nerve where they enter the brain and men die. I would never have suggested that he meant to do what he does - careening from license to license, scraping out anything wholesome and throwing the husk at me - but there is plainly a trajectory here and the universe does not appear to be reprimanding him.

I played the original Alone in the Dark (in the big scary mansion with the zombies) aaaages ago... and that was awesome, scared the hell outta me. If this movie is anything to do with the games, I hope it doesnt tarnish a great name.

Yes, it's bad. Damn, Uwe Boll is giving video games a bad name! He's making people think that computer games are nothing but mindless action fests with no plot or development .

Also a lot of the critics said that the none stop shooting was to be expected from a game . Obviously they have never played Alone in the Dark, which contained very little shooting.

Do you realize how many people that means watched it? By god we couldn;t save them, they have visited the 9th circle of Hell and lived to tell about it, but i do not envy them, at all, they watched a damn Uwe Boll film
