Alright, don't get started with, "oh no, not soulslicer and another band thing", but I was wondering if you all heard of this band called "alterbridge". They are like a mix of alternative metal and post-grunge rock.

They have some nice tracks like rise today and open your eyes. I really love some of their tracks

Alter Bridge a.k.a Creed without Scott Stapp

It's shit

oh no, not soulslicer and another band thing.

Their first album One Day Remains is awesome. Their latest one isn't as good, but was better than I was expecting. Far better than Creed ever was.

Haha.. obviously you haven't heard much of the band. ;)

Far better than Creed? Maybe, but that's not saying much. Dalimari is right - complete shit.

I'll kiss my ass on the day I post about band that dalamari would reply that he really likes it..

CAN YOU TAKE ME HIGHER

TO A PLACE WITH GOLDEN STREAMS

CAN YOU TAKE ME HIGHERRRRR

TO A PLACE WHERE SOMETHING SOMETHINGS!!

etc etc. Basically, you should be ashamed of yourself for starting a thread about such trash.

Absolute tosswank. An old flatmate of mine tried to introduce me to theme.. appalling..

alright alright. Basically, post-grunge rock is not a genre of your tastes.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Post-grunge (Blue October, Puddle of Mudd, Chevelle, Staind, Seether, 3 Doors Down, Alterbridge, Nickelback, Creed)

well, its not that I love this rock genre, but I don't mind it..

"Post-grunge is often characterized as being less "dirty" and having a more mainstream sound than other grunge subgenres[citation needed]. Some believe that the entire subgenre was actually created by music label executives as a way to repackage grunge as pop music and market it to mainstream audiences[citation needed] . This directly contrasts with the original "anti-corporate rock" ethic that had spawned grunge music during the early-to-mid 1990s. Thus, many grunge fans revile post-grunge and denounce these bands as sellouts [citation needed] ."

Heh.

Not the mention the artistic quality of the music itself is complete crap. I mean really, I could've written a lot of those songs when I was in middle school.

But you didn't and never have. You are nothing.

Guy on the internet claiming to be as good as alter bridge. Back to your guitar forum that denounces everything that isn't steve vai.

Actually, I have written several songs that are at least as good as that that crap, I was just never lucky enough to have corporate backing so I could pump out album after album of bland drivel and shove it down the throats of the general public.

Also, I don't visit any guitar forums, and I don't listen to steve vai. Music doesn't have to be ridiculously technical to be good.

My kind of music, its good, but not something I'd rush out to buy or anything...

Certainly not as bad as everyone claims it to be IMO.

Gimme some variation in the songs and I'd go for it.

I loved the first album, decent lyrics that got along with the melodies and the solos.
The new album is really really desapointed, the lyrics are just no there, they don't even rhyme and the melodies are bland and to heavies. The solos are just plain crap,

Mark Tremonti should learn that a good solo is not a solo played as fast as you can.
We know he is a good guitarist so no point to rush the freaking solos.
A good solo is a solo that can bend melodie and speed acording to the rythem.

Have you guys listened to Tom Morelo's solo in "dosn't remind me?"
