Anyone here read this book? Its pretty sweet. Ill type you what the back cover says

"IN the twenty-fifth century, humankind has spread throughout the galaxy, monitored by the watchful eye of the U.N. While divisions in race, religion, and class still exist, advances in technology have redefined life itself. Assuming one can afford the expensive procedure, a person's consciousness can now be stored in a cortical sack at the base of the brain and easily downloaded into a new body [or "sleeve"], making death nothing more than a minor blip on the screen.

Ex-U.N. envoy Takeshi Kovacs has been killed before, but his last death was particularly painful. Dispatched one hundred eighty light-years from home, resleeved into a body in Bay City [formerly SAn Francisco, now with a rusted, dilapidated Golden Gate Bridge], Kovacs is thrown into the dark heart of a shady, far-reaching conspiracy that is vicious even by the standards of society that treats "existence" as something to be bought and sold, For Kovacs, the shell that blew a hole in his chest was only the beginning..."

Yea guys, if you are into Sci-Fi and/or Crim Mystery books, you will LOVE this. Its truly amazing.

In London on a job, she is offered a secret assignment: to investigate some intriguing snippets of video that have been appearing on the Internet. An entire subculture of people is obsessed with these bits of footage, and anybody who can create that kind of brand loyalty would be a gold mine for Cayce's client

Sounds like us with Nutrigrain.

We are talkin' books, not games... and no I have never played SS 2.

Damn, I'm just playing through Deus Ex again, I forgot how awesome the story was!

Heheh, I kid. I probably don't read as much as I should, as I really enjoy a good book. I can't point to any good sci-fi stuff, but one author I really like is Garry Kilworth. I especially enjoyed Cloudrock and what I read of Hunter's Moon... infact I'm gonna go to the library tomorrow and work on finishing that.

That was a great book, very cinematic, lots of action. Highly recomended. One of the charecters had one of the best names ever, Ryker :-).

sounds like its worth picking up.

Definatly is, Hollywood bought the rights to publish a movie on it, and if they acually go with how the book is set up, it would be X-Rated. But anyhow, I am excited to see what they can do. Hope they dont ruin it :)

Oh man this is a brilliant book,I'd advise anyone to buy it.
Particulary liked the Payback chapter.
(Wont say anymore, and it aint technically a spoiler, just in case ill spoiler tag it)
