peering out from under her overcoat below the symbol on her shirt .

now lol , dont get hastey, it could say what your all thinking ,

but its more likely to be incline to be the words 'BLACK MESA'.

raises a question, ? is she a fan girl of Black Mesa, ? surely she didnt work there. its now been destroyed right?...

so is this just a left over T shirt that she found?.

I'm beginning to think that black mesa might not have been secret after all. Of course, some of the things they were working on were secret, like teleportation, but those got their own labs. From gordons point of view, he knew nothing about what they were working on at the other side of the compound.

Surely if the facility itself was secret it would all be underground? And have something a little better than rent-a-cops protecting the place? It would also be a lot easier to explain a nuclear explosion if it happened at a research lab.

But why would a research lab, secret or not, make t-shirts?

the first time I played HL I think that black-mesa facility was a company of researches or something like that
for example in the part before the accident when you find posters who say "Tecnology¡" and "safety" and appear images of the interior of black mesa
and also in the firts place you enter after the train in the begining, there a world map whit the black-mesa logo
and I dont think black-mesa is a "worldwide goverment secret facility"
but of course I believe black-mesa hav secrets places and stuff
maybe the goverment is using the black-mesa tecnology and scientifics to make they experiments

my idea

black-mesa is a company like umbrella in resident evil
that fabric a lot of diferent products (since electronics devices,to weapons) and hav it own secret lab to investigate very important things

It's not difficult to print your own T-shirt or get a custom one printed. Just because she has a t-shirt with black mesa written on it doesn't mean the actual research facility is printing them.

Edit: And the shirt's not really an easter egg or rumour if you ask me. It has the BM logo directly over the words. what else would it say?

Edit #2: Also, Gordon's acceptance letter has the logo on it too. I guess the logo is the only part of BM that isn't a secret.

Edit #3: The shirt probably came from the same company that churned out all those bulk labcoats for Walter & friends. If Gordo and all the scientists live in the facility for years while they work, I'm sure they'd have new clothes given to them every once and a while, and they'd have to wear stuff other than their work duds. They have a pool at BM, after all.

I agree with you there Jab, Gordon was just working in a normal everyday anomalous materials lab. It might explain why the normal facilties where silenced whilst the Lamda complex was untouched by the grunts, because the scientists at that part of the facility saw aliens in their everyday life.

Why they make branded sweaters and T-shirt with the black mesa logo is like saying, why bother with colleges and universities with their own sweaters and T-shirts. Plus you might get special discounts when out grocery shopping if you where the sweater.

Umm, it is not a t-shirt, it is a zip-up sweat jacket with a hood.

This leaves me with two questions.

1: When did Black Mesa decied to hand out hoodies?
(Well, possibly cause all the workers lived in the compound, im sure they thought nothing was wrong with the Black Mesa swag at the stores where they bought their food and other products to make home in government housing. (Actully, I wouldn't mind having a pullover like that, only in mens.))

2: Where the hell are the sleves to that black mesa sweat jacket?
