Alyx Skin Error

Ever since the May update several issues have cropped up. One I am the most concerned with is custom alyx_sheet files. No matter who's made the skin, it never appears correctly in game. Only the original skin appears correctly. This applies to Half Life 2 and the 2 episodes. Strangely though it appears fine in Source Model Viewer.

Here's what I mean:

Is this something I can fix or do I have to wait for an update by Valve to fix it? Before the update I never had any trouble.

new half-life 2 (2010) is using a new alyx model, which is not compatible with a skin made for the old alyx model (2004).
