Here it is again. last time I showed it off too early. Now the likeness is a little closer to home. sculpted out of regular sculpey mixed with a bit of Fimo Classic. the scale is a little over 1:6.
Agreed with Druckles, the hair needs bringing down a tad.
Other than that it looks like it's coming along nicely. Remember to spend a decent amount of time on the ears.
Oh by the way, what sources are you using? If you're not already, the HL Model Viewer in the SDK might help you a bit getting some of the less-screenshotted angles.
I don't think the hair is too high so much as there's too much of it in the back...her hair isn't really hanging down like that, she kinda has it tucked into her headband in the back.
Otherwise, looks nice! God, I wish I could draw Alyx and it actually LOOK like her, much les sculpting! *envy*
thanks for the comments. I will fix the hair. One of the problems I have with the model viewer someone mentioned, is that her hair blends in with the black background. now there is an option to change the color of the background but it doesn't work. making the eyebrows concave allows me to sand near the eyebrows with more ease, and it almost colors them in for me which helps me visualize the whole piece.
