Am I allowed to change the multiplier settings on a 2600+ Barton?

At the moment, I am @ 11.5 x 199 . Can I up the multiplier to 12.5?

It's possible although you may also have a locked CPU. The first Barton cores were unlocked although they started locking them.

If you try it and it does not work you will have to reset the bios by shorting the CMOS jumpers. Look in your manual.
