I use to work for a remainder company and had 2 or 3 contacts at Prima. Alas those days are gone.... if I had known I would have toughed it out 3 more years. Got my old boss checking to see if she can get me an advanced copy.

Usually I wait till after I beat the game to read most of the Strat guides. I was thinking about ordering the Strat+Mod guides to get the free shipping...which is when I saw the sale price.

I wonder if theyll still ship it out on Oct 7th?

Man.. buying a strategy guide period usually ruins a game, but buying one before the game is even out would be whole new levels of ruinage.

Because if the guide indeed ships on Oct. 7th, it will most likely be before HL2 is released. That means we'll have a few weeks to "preview" the game.

The guide was scheduled to come out 9/24 or something, too, but that didn't happen. I don't think Amazon really has any clue.
