Would it matter if I upgraded from an AMD +2600 to an AMD +2800, or is it not worth the money?

Don't upgrade, that's a pointless upgrade, you could probably overclock to 2800+ speeds easily.

even if you don't know how to overclock, stash your money and save up for a worth while upgrade. small incremental upgrades really only waste your money. your better off saving for something that will last you a few years until you need to upgrade again.

You don't really need to overclock anyway, your processor is fine. Save up for an Athlon 64.
