Most of all in gaming, the lowest tested Amd's X2 3800+ beats Intel's BEST Dual Core chip. This was by 10fps to.

This tests everything. Day to Day, Image Editing, MP3 Encoding, Multitasking, Gaming, Video Encoding, and Price to Performance.

Just wow. Intel got bitch slapped in the dual core market. Not only do AMD's perform better but cost alot less to.

AMD ftw, but apparently Intels new dual core Xeons are supposed to be good, although I havent seen any comparisons with the dual core Opterons..

I've been an AMD biatch since the first Thunderbird CPU I purchased back in 1999/2000 (ish). I'm now on my 6th AMD powered PC and I have absolutley NO intention of changing back to Intel any time soon.

I thought I'd give AMD a try, since I've only ever used Intel before. And boy, when I got my AMD 64 X2 4200+ I nearly wet myself. Everything runs so smoothly its just... excellence! When I was on my old Pentium 4 2.8Ghz with HyperThreading, I had to close down things like MSN and IRC, and usually disable my antivirus to be able to sustain good framerates in Counter-Strike: Source. Now, I can run loads of stuff in the background, and still play with 15 bots on CSS, and run it smooth as a baby's bottom. I LOVE this CPU.

I call my Dual Core processor "my twins" <3

Nice.
AMD ftw!
Thanks for this, this'll help me in my GCE applied ICT coursework :p

I go insane with my 3500+. Shit 15 bots? Na, lets put on 29. I don't close out of anything extra and I still get damn nice faemrates when pared with my 7800GTX. Got damn.

I remember having it lag around 15 - 25 fps on maps online at times. Shit now throw in 20 bots and any map and my FPS is past the 100's of course I usually put on Vsync.

i was skeptical at first but was eased when they finnaly showed the system specs at the last page

i bought a amd for my first computer i bulit but i had intel b4. the processor was much cheaper than the 3.0 p4 i was gonna buy. plus even tho its not the best it runs hl2 and bf2 with ease. 3200+

Yes let's pity all the intel users out there. I remember my first AMD k5 after owning a p180 pro.
