lol yeah, its not bad. Klaus, the fish that talks, is by far the funniest to me.

They ran a series of American Dad along with Family Guy on BBC2 recently and it was hilarious. I found it way way funnier than Family Guy in fact. I think a lot of people felt the same way because although American Dad started out in the later time slot, the BBC eventually switched them around so that it came on first.

It's about some CIA guy and his family life - lots of funny jabs at the US, but it's not totally one-sided or preachy. Tons of utterly classic scenes.

American Dad is ok, it would be amazing if the characters were more memorable like in Family Guy. Aside from the Dad and the fish the rest really don't appeal to me.

The alien is just annoying while the rest are easy to forget for me.

watching it in 10mins on BBC2- Will let you know if its any good...i am a huge Family guy fan and was disappointed with the movie and the leaked episodes from america that i saw of season 4. I think the writers ended up out of practice. Crossing my fingers and hoping for the best with this!

i liked it anyway...can see lots of traces of Family Guy in there (even the music between scenes!).

Watched american dad first time tonight, not a huge family guy fan, watched about 10 episodes of it though. Both shows i found equally funny. American dad had some classic scenes as did family guy. Both seem pretty much the same to me. The NGA episode tonight was excellent!

I found American Dad to be too much of a Family Guy copy until after about midway through the season. It then managed to start really coming into its own and doing some great stuff that Family Guy couldn't tackle. And I've noticed a dip in Family Guy's quality.
