Just wanted to say this 2000 game is simply wonderful!

I played for the first time yesterday. Damn it fells nice to find a good game you haven't played yet. Also, since it's old, you can really max out the gfx settings, I even enabled AA and AF on my ti4200.

yeah its a good game is that. I love his style, like a cruel version of Tim Burtons. Wasn't there talk once of doing a more adult cartoon in that style? By Adult I mean not for little kids because of scary moments

Also, to put things in perspective, here's my ultra compact mini-review:

+Stunning level design/gfx, best looking q3-based game ever
+Voice acting and ambient sounds are superb
+Highly immersive (thanks to the above)

-Linear. Didn't bother me in this game though
-Could have had more emphasis on story

Oh, and there are jumping puzzles. They're not that tough though, since you get a footprint shadow indicating where you'll land. Actually, I enjoyed them.

It's in danish, so I've translated it:

After The American McGee's Alice has the game-master, established his own gaming company called Carbon5, that's suppose to take care of the next game: Oz. The game will be released on PC and then later on X-Box. Of course the game will borrow a lot from Frank Baum's classic books and will probably end up being a lot more dark and scary.

I tried to tell people that this was an outstanding game back when it came out, but everyone said it sucked. And now, years later, everyones talking about how awesome it is. I hate to sound bitchy but this seems to be a disturbing trend with games. The same thing with ICO for the PS2, when it came out people said it was lame and now people talk about how it's the shit. I don't know what it is that causes this, but I wish I could find out.

Anyway, Alice is a game that everyone should play at some point in their life. It is very disturbing in some places. My biggest complaint with the game was that the controls were a bit off at some points, but this wasn't anything that couldn't be solved with some practice.
