has any1 else played this pile of crap?

omg i read so much about it and thought it was actually going to be worth playing!

you walk around anywhere from 2 to 5 mins with all your buddies for a gun fight that will last approx 5-10 seconds
*round restart*
REPEAT

played on about 6 or 7 servers hoping that maybe id picked a few bad ones to start with but man it sucked all over

I have been quite addicted to this game, esp. to the Bridge level. It's the most realistic online shooter around and therefore the learning curve is quite steep. But when you get the hang of it, it can be a lot fun. I only played on the official servers btw. They have a good mix between n00bs and old hands.

Mind you, i haven't really played this for over a year, so I don't really know how it has changed since then.

That game is so much fun, the only reason you don't like it because you are new and don't know the maps. You sound like you die a lot too if you run around and then the fire fight ends in under 10 seconds.

It's fantastic fun; I love the bridge map, and the ones where you parachute in. It's just the tension it creates, especially when you're the last person on your team or something, that makes this gun so enjoyable. Obviously, if you just rush in, you die. it's very tactical.

That's the whole point. This isn't UT2004. You take your time to organise an attack. You have to work together with your teammates, giving each other cover and all. When you shoot, crouch or -even better- go prone. It really improves the nozzle drift. America's Army is very rewarding if you take your time. If you just want an easy deathmatch, move on.

AA is a good game, although I'm pretty sucky at it, its fun.

I never got to the Sniper school, because I’m having troubles shooting down all the targets on the shooting range training area.

I love America's Army. I never got far so I was always a normal soldier, too friggin' hyper to sit through the medical tests to become a medic

The bridge level is great but so are all the other ones. It just takes time to get used to.

everyone on AA says "gjt" after the round, funny how no one on CS does that...

I tried it and never got into it. and i'm not going back. It's too serious and difficult for me, it feels like it was made for real Veterans wanting to experience army life again... not to help the American Army recruit.

It's a great game. I love the methodical and slow paced nature of it. It's very tactical and very realistic, while still being fun. Also, the community is a lot more mature than people who play CS, because people who play CS are a bunch of ADD freaks who can't stay still long enough to defend an objective.

I haven't played it in a little while, but I hear it's gotten even better. It's hard to play other online shooters with "realistic themes" because they just seem so silly.

Americas army is great if you want realism, I still play it occosionally but total realism is rarely something I want when I play games.

I love AA. first time i played it I didn't like it... because i didn't understand the whole Honor system they where running... but after i got used to it I started loving the game.

I've Done all trainings courses so i'm practicly an all in soldier.
medic/Special Forces/Sniper/Airborne you name it :E
