For the record, heres how I feel:

1) There is a good chance Icarus deserved it.
2) Elf (and now Sidewinder) locks threads that I'm not through with.
3) I am one of the better moderators on this site. I love HL2, I post often, and I mitigate conversations with tact and respect (usually), not becaues it is my job, but because it is who I am. And I never, ever, close threads.

And no, I dont want to be a mod. Been there, done that.

Yes. I dont want the responsability of anything being expected of me. Still, I mitigate discussion where others would just lock.

As for closing my thread. I really wish you hadn't. I would rather have replied to you there.

Is a little open discussion too much to ask? I simply hate having discussions locked without proper resolve,. which was the source of our original confrontation (the 'e' thread).

That was the content of your thread. Open discussion is fine, I see no point why the open discussion couldn't happen in a thread where a semi-offical statement was first thing.

As you say, you hate discussions to be closed w/o proper resolve. That thread was not a discussion. It was a statement. You statement was taken to heart, hence the thread I posted. which is not locked.
