Ive never seen a girl before........on the forums that is. Of course, you know i meant to forums right?


Anyway, really are you a girl. To be honest that would be kinda weird. I mean, not many girls come on to things like this.

I've come across plenty of females that've played HL and surrounding mods, so really, this comes as no suprise. (Yes some of them even use forums!)

Thin Ice? Why is that. Its not like i was being sexist or anything. Its just, most girls i know consider things like this to be quite sad. Of course i know some who do come on to things like this, but very few.
 
Most girls who play (and there are alot of them) don't normally make themselves known because ....well horney geeks tend to flock.
 
It's hard to try and say.

"Wow I'm suprised to see a girl" without possibly offending the person. Don't worry mate, I don't have you down as sexist, just playing the devils advocate :)

No really they do. Im not being sexist, women normally talk a lot more than men. Its not a bad thing, its quite good in fact. It often helps a group of people avoid large lengths of silence.

Anyway, if i was treading on thin ice before, i just put on some heated shoes. :dork:

I blame it all on tiredness, although 'tis a pretty lame excuse. ;(
 
Actually tiredness causes me to make a lot of mistakes.


This type gaming is very male dominated. But not necessarily because they wont let girls in. Of course that is a large factor in many cases. But men are typically the ones who like to fight. At least, thats the stereotype thats often brought up in men vs women conversations. Anyway, I'm sure there are plenty of women playing games like Half-Life, but i doubt there will ever be as many as there are men, simply because more men like the games. There are some other factors, such as a pride that force some women out. For instance, a lot of men (i say men but i mainly mean annoying boys hitting puberty.) wouldn't like the fact they might have been beaten by a woman.
 
Remember my 'Why I don't like Multiplayer' thread.... they don't even like being beaten by a guy with the name CuteBadger :p

I know a girl, who plays HL online all the time, and she's a lot better than most guys... shes also a fan of Sniper's websites... but thats another story :)
