Well, I got it formatted, im running in windows 2000 pro, and now I ran into another problem. Call of duty, Starwars jedi academy, deus ex invisible war, and the customization screen for cs (yea that specific), all freeze and say bla bla created errors and Im forced to end task EVERY TIME im about to play. What the hell is up with this? I have a 9800 pro 128mb. Ive reformatted numerous times. That stupid agp problem was solved, but all my games still continue to crash. Anybody got any ideas? Yes my bios is up to date as well as my catalyst drivers. Please someone help!

imo its because win2000 isn't a gaming os :p

Well cs and battlefield1942 work...why dont the others?

I suggest updating to XP, I'm sure your game problems will be solved.

I've never had any experience trying to game on 2000 (or any other NT based OS other than XP), and neither has anyone I know so I can only guess along with everyone else.
XP is a great idea, but lord knows if thats where you problem lies.

If I were you I'd use a program like DocMem 2.0 to check the integrity of my RAM.

I don't think it's 2000 Pro that's your problem, i've played all those games on my system and i have 2000 Pro and 9800 Pro AIW, so pretty simmilar to your stuff. Do you have all the windows updates installed? And you have the most recent DirectX installed?

scan your computer for spy ware (with adaware). for some reason that screws up games. I know when tribes 2 first came out lots of people had problems because they had spy ware on their comps that they didn't know about.

I have all the windows updates and direct x up to date. Ive got only adware on my comp and thats from kazaa. And just recently my friend played Jedi knight academy on my comp, a game which didnt work before and suddenly it works now, with the occasional crashing. Also, call of duty worked at first when i first reformatted, then i tried it recently and it doesnt work now. wtf is wrong with this damn comp? its obviously not my video card itself as it can play bf1942 and cs etc. its not the drivers....maybe the settings? or the o/s settings? something? eh idk im stupid, anyone have any suggestions?

Forgive me if this is a repeat from earlier (I haven't been to the forums in a while), but what wattage is your power supply?

If you reformatted all the spyware should be gone unless you took a quick trip to the porn site before playing the games.

Considering no one can figure this out you should play those games again and take down the error messages and send them into micro soft or any other company for that matter you think could help.

Thats the only way you are going to get to the bottom of it and it may take them a long time to get back to you so send it a few places and see who is faster.

Good luck ;)
