I was wondering if anyone has seen any half-life mods in anime style?

I wish there were more mods based on anime ;( I remember seeing one mod in anime style for half-life 1, but I've forgotten it's name. Maybe I'll have to make my own mod..

I think there a quite a few mods based on anime. Unfortunately most of them have a team full of 13 year olds and in-fighting generally destroys them.

Neotokyo is an urban combat mod inspired by such anime as Ghost in the Shell (the two Oshii films, and Stand Alone Complex) and Akira. When HL2 was delayed, the team developed a UT2K4 mod to visualise ideas, kind of as a proof of concept. It doesn't have vehicles (which will be a significant part of the source version), but thermoptic camoflague makes stealth an important factor, often resulting in very tactical gameplay.

Development on source has started, and will gain momentum when the full SDK comes out. This is a very dedicated team, so you can definitely expect to see this mod finished. In the mean time, you can check out the UT2K4 version, but that's just a taste of what's to come
