anime movies

hey guys, i really like anime but i dont want to get into watching another series of shows, so can anyone suggest just a few movies? so far i have seen akira and princess mononoke and i am currently borrowing "ghost in the shell" from kazaa. thanks.

LOL @ borrowing. Try your local videos stores, right down back where they hide all the old anime VHS. And in the DVD section, there's usually some new stuff there. Can't say I've seen too many good ones, but I definitely recommend the Kenshin (Samurai X :dozey: ) OAV's. There's a two part one over two VHS/DVD's called "Trust" and "Betrayal", then a seperate one accounting the events of the series and what happened afterwards called... argh I can't remember, but it's VERY good. All three have excellent animation/art, a great plot and some good old gory action, however the english voice acting is mediocre so try get the DVD's so you can switch to Jap with subtitles. Other than that have you seen the enhanced version of Akira? Only good if you're a big fan, it's remastered with new voiceovers, but I preferred the old ones.

Edit - Damn I wanna see Spirited Away, but I know my bro and sis will laugh at me oh well.

ahh, Ghost in the Shell, good choice.

Vampire Hunder D Bloodlust is probably my favorite anime movie (right now).

Spirited Away is OK, but it's just a funky fairy tale.

Yea Spirited away is a crazy adventure... amazing art though... amazing.

ghost and vampire are action oriented

oh and I almost forgot...

Princess Mononoke... really its ALOT better than it sounds. Really good art and quite a bit of action.
