Annoyn graphics cards!!!!!HELP

Hi i would appreciate some help. Bought HL2 for xmas n STILL havent soddn playd it as comp isnt good enough. Just seen a Radeon 9700 pro card and need to knw if thats good enough to run HL2 on all highest settings? Also what are drivers that everyone talks about, what are they for etc and also it says that the card needs 300v to run properly my pc only does 230v, is that a problem?? Your help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

Don't expect to run HL2 with everything on highest with a 9700pro. And you should get like a 400W power supply if you want it to last.

I run HL2 on highest settings with a 9700 Pro and runs very nicely, although I dont have any AA activated. I had to upgrade from a 300Watt PS to a 430W Enermax so that it wouldn't blow up.
