Another BattleBots on the way!??!

In February 2008, BattleBots announced [3] that ESPN had offered to broadcast a "Collegiate BattleBots Championship" competition limited to a single 160-pound weightclass to be held during the summer of 2008. Plans call for a "professional" 220-pound class tournament to be filmed at the same time, but the broadcast deal is for the college teams only.[1] The competition has been delayed until April 20?26, 2009 according to the Battlebots staff. Recent announcements have been made that the college tier will be a middleweight tournament and a High School Middleweight and a Pro Heavyweight division tournament will also be included.[4]

Oohhh **** yes. I can't wait for this. This was one of my favorite shows of all time.

Oh man this reminds me of quality tv on TechTV back in the day. We switched from the rabbit ears to satellite and were blown away by the channel and loved the show. We were like "this is what we were missing?!"

Some fights could be boring, but you had the cool guys who built bots that would tear other bots in ****ing HALF. You watched for that.
