Another Doom 3 expansion?

Do you think there'll be another D3 expansion?. RoE was great, better in some aspects than the original, a lot faster paced and all that. The Grabber was a nice addition, as well as The Artifact which made the gameplay alot better IMO.

I just hope Id focuses on story if there ever is another expansion, and more quality gameplay like in RoE.

i doubt there'll be another expansion, just doesn;t seem likely, but maybe the sales numbers for RoE were good

Maybe. I actually thought ROE was better than Doom 3 in so many ways.

Doom 3 sales were very healthy... but ROE is presumeably what a second expansion depends upon, and my instinct says that the masses, (some disgruntled with Doom 3 itself), stayed away from the expansion. I also think that if another expansion was really in the pipeline, there would have been an announcement by now. Still, even just one expansion is pretty impressive for any game - especially an advanced action game (FPSs are fast paced, so you get less millage out of the areass you create) -, a fact that's easy to forget, spoilt Half-Life fans as we are.

Sure it's a HL fansite, but come on... HL2 is just another shooter, with good facial animation.

Anyways, I don't think there'll be another expansion... ID said they weren't going back to Doom for awhile... Didn't they?

I'd like to see another expansion. I would really like to see the events take place from the eyes of a maintenance worker. Anything in the DOOM universe would be fine by me.

They should have an energy weapon that shoots ricocheting projectiles like the first mission packs for Quake and Quake II.

I know what you mean. So much that I liked the storyline for Doom3 I just got a headache doing the same fighting and running. There were many times were I just stopped playing the game on this basis.

Well, thats your opinion. Hl2 in many ways raised the bar for shooters, not as much as its predecessor but still, it certainly did. Superb facial animation, awesome story, brilliant art and solid gameplay. Far better than anything else on the market. But thats just my opinion.

It is possible, that doom 3 is done now.
