Another FoxTrot Comic..

that was on the front of [H]ardocp on the daily news thing (as in, link)
 
I wonder how many people reading that in their papers say, "I don't get it. What's 'Half-Life'?"

Things to get:

1. They satirize the fact that HL2 will not be available to Mac Users.

2. Jason is so pissed that he is willing to create his own game, clearly a moment of "sour grapes".

3. Jason even goes as far as to name the game similar to HL, and creatively parodies the name itself, by using Math (playing on the name 1/2 life) to modify the name.

4. Peter insults Jason by saying he has No Life, also a play on the title of the game.

5. Jason retorts by coding a super-violent death for any player named "Peter". His geek way of revenge.

All that in only three frames!! Am I missing any?

Game is 1,000 times harder. 1/2(HL) * 1000(harder) = 0.0005(new name)

That's about as weak as the first one they made. If you found it funny (like, laugh out loud funny) you spend too much time waiting for HL2.
 
1/2 * 1000 = 500 life surely. He would be making it 1000 times easier ;)

I am glad he posted here. This is more than art--it is a few comics commenting on the how others view HL2. If anything it should be here because it demonstrates that the mainstream interest in the game is enough to merit its own comic commentaries. It also is a slight jab at how a lot of us geeks have no life :) At least in the opinions of others. Sounds like a lot more than art to me.
