Another iPod thread, another new model

Yeah sorry about this being ANOTHER iPod thread, its just that i hate them in all honestly, but the new model coming out has got me interested (probably why the colour model went down by $100 yesterday)

The latest model plays the same stuff, plus VIDEO, 2 models 30gb and 60gb, apparently smaller too, don't know how that works.

The sad thing is, i want one now, and its an iPod

Black iPod over a white one for me, i don't like that colour everyone has, except the minis which are all in awful pastel colours. I read in the paper iTunes are going to do a scheme where an episode of Lost for example is on tv, and its available for download the next night to watch on the new iPod, no movies yet though, which is ideally the thing which would sell it more than anything i think.

have to say that these new ipods look the dogs bollocks. Need to see what the video playback is like when they come out in teh uk. should be pretty cool though I would image. the black ones look great but i would fear that scratches would show up more on the black ones compared to the white ones

yeah, but the ipods are jukeboxes that hold a lot of gb of memory, the u2 and i5 are mp3 players, that are small, but can carry less music. jukeboxes from all the brands are bigger then normal mp3 players.

Anyways, the image of an Ipod nuyer I have is someone, just to dumb to look 5 inches to the right and left to see a device equally small, with equal specs, but costs 100,-. The kind of people that just buy it because everyone else has one. You can flame me for that, cause I know it is quite and arrogant view, but I can't help it.
I mean Apple does have itself to blame in part for that, Just look at the Ipod shuffle, they try to market the shuffle option as something new, plus they lack behind other brands, others have had video playabck option out for a while now.

I don't doubt for a minute that western co-operations would hesitate to exploit another poor nation, but I will chew my left hand of if NK lets any co-operations inside their country for the next 10 years.

But the Ipod is outmatched in every catgeory by it´s competitors, exept for the number sold, and looks, cause looks are subjective, besides buying something and paying rediculus amounts for it just because a lot of others have it or it´s looks, is not something to be proud of.

First, it certainly doesn´t make you cooler, it´s quite the opposite whne you don´t just follow your peers, but it does show you are intelligent.

second, I never claimed that it did make you cooler Mr.Meme

Third there is nothing wrong with buying something first after reading reviews from pro´s and consumers, and looking a couple of inches to the left and right of the ipod to see whats besides it, and looking in to it.
As far as ease of use go´s, thats again a personel thing. I think my iaudio5 has a pretty simple and effective controls.

Fact is you can´t name one thing about the ipod that makes it better then other jukeboxes thats objective, like amount of memory, or specs. Simply cause it doesn´t have anything to stand out, t´s like the Imac, pretty to look at, good quality, but still surpassed in ever way.

I'd rather have an MP3 player that's easy to use with less features and lower specs. While other companies are sweating there asses off trying to publicize their awesome features and statistics, the iPod is prancing out into the public and contaminating everyone that uses it. It's exactly like Ninentdo vs. the world deal. While the PS3 is flaunting all these specs, Nintendo realized that fun isn't proportional to ghz.

Even then, there's a reason that in the tech world, the iPod has been getting the highest reviews in the past few years.

I love my ipod
Apart from the mug-me white headphones
Easy as hell to use, easy as hell to set up with itunes, all I have to do is plug it in and everything's setup just the way I have it on my computer
As for iRiver, everywhere I looked they were more expensive than ipods. And I don't know what all this talk about ipods being so expensive is, if anything they are $60-$100 more than the cheaper players. That's hardly "way more expensive"
