Anandtech's BTX article
I didn't really get any new info and I still have the same view on BTX.
Intel's solution to deal with their space heater, from complaints or requests by OEM's.
While it makes the airflow more efficent it complicates everything else. Board manufacturing, traces on the board, working in a case and cable placement etc.
Good idea, bad design. BTX is not the design to improve airflow efficency and help Intel's heat issues to be adopted by all. Another 'Rambus' if you ask me.
They should follow some of the manufactures and flip/rotate the ATX board using a backwards ATX case. Example
