Another strange Steam problem

Hi all,
For the last couple of days I've been having some weird things going on with Steam, namely button and menu labels displaying things of the form #Steam_blah
It started when I tried out a couple of new skins, but the problems seems to of persisted upon returning to the default skin...

Any ideas?

I've just started having the same issues today, but I've not even changed my skins - all is at default.

I get EXACTLY the same as you do - very weird.

Valve aren't having much luck at the moment, are they? :-(

Ahhh - at least you've confirmed that it isn't anything I've done...

Oh well, I'm sure they'll get around to fixing it. Although it's probably not very high on their list, and rightly so I suppose.

No idea what is meant by "Delete "ClientRegistry.blob"" unless he means simply delete all Registry entries related to Steam. Does not explain why this has suddenly happened.

i have the same EXACT problem

The .blob has just been corrupted for some reason (its just a database file) if u delete it and then start up steam and connect to a game. An uncorrupted (an therefore fixed) version is re-installed , it takes maybe a minute . Since i did it ive had no problems at all
