Another testament to Songsmith sucking

I thought the Metallica one was awesome because it fit as some sort of obscure cheesy techno 90's club song.

Songsmith seems like a program that is a decade and a half late.
 
The program does suck, but it's still kinda clever. If it was developed by a few people in their free time, not by a big corporation, you'd say it's a cool app.
 
If it was invented back in 1997 and was an application that came free with Windows 98, then maybe, as a kid, I would have thought it cool.

It would be completely different and suck a lot less if it was developed by a few people in their free time, because they would not be targeting the typical moron wannabe-musician/singer market.

Also, they wouldn't make something so incredibly useless.
 
The music the program makes up is so corny I can't see anybody actually using it seriously.

Do I have to know these songs in order to find them funny? I listened to them and they just sounded like shit, and there was no humor involved.

I've heard people playing instruments and sound worse than any of these. Much worse. And frankly, I dont see how software can make people's music suck. It doesnt seem possible that there could be any other reason beyond the people themselves sucking at making music.

If we're making fun of the people using songsmith to make the music, then I'll laugh. Otherwise its like saying "lol the oval office sucks" because of George Bush.

Do you have any idea what Songsmith actually is?
 
Krynn is some sort of software and he's just upset we are discriminating against software and is trying to say it's our fault or something.
 
For Krynn's benefit: you don't make music in Songsmith. It's basically just a selection of pre-set backing tracks you're meant to sing over, but they're all so horrible that they ruin any song you put them to. Hence the funny.
 
We don't need 'Another testament' to prove it, we all saw the original trailer, didn't we? :O
 
I guessed, I only ever read the first page and last page of threads :p
