Yes, I know there are enough of these in this forum, but I feel the need to contribute.

I'm looking into a new laptop. It's got a 3.0 gig processor, with 512 megs of ram, a 128meg radeon 9600 graphics card, and 60 gigs of hard drive space. Will it run Half-Life 2 well?

No, that laptop will not run hl2. you need 6 billion ghz processor with an ati 98000 pro. dont forget to just throw about 500 1gig sticks of ddr 4billion into the case. ull also need a cd-rom drive.
