Anti-gravity Gun?

I read somewhere that the anti-gravity gun won't be in the game. Is this true? If so, has anyone (at Valve) mentioned whether or not they allow users to dl it later as an add-on?

P.S. I just beat Opposing force yesterday, and boy was it sweet, just as good as the original HL. The ending was kinda *bleep* though.

I don't think its in the game either. I think that gun was in just to kinda demo off the physics engine. Even though he uses it in traptown i could see valve just take it out and have it in multiplayer only.

There are two 'gravaty guns', the one in the tech demo and the one in the HL2 gameplay vids. The second one will be in (afaik), and the first one will prolly be available through the console or something.

Ive heard the anti gravity gun (one with the beam) wont be in it.
But the manipulator gun will.

The anti-gravity gun and the manipulator are the same gun.... it's just that the anti-gravity gun is an earlier version of the manipulator. I think it's in the valve info thread!

why would they have different builds of a gun if it wasn't going to be in?

The gun with the blue beam seen in the tech demo won't be in, I suppose the other manipulator gun was a better idea. The gun which grabs things and holds them in the air will be in the game, k? This has been stated like a million times And the grabber gun has been seen in a few video footages from the actual game as well.

The gun IS in the traptown movie.....and it's actual gameplay...so it's in that's all.
