Antialiasing (no noobs)

ok, so i go into hl2 and i put all the settings on high, previously i had AAx4 on, now i put it on AAx6, and it actualy looks worse than AAx4.

i run hl2 on 1024x768 with all settings on max including hdr AF and color correction on.

My graphics card is a 7800GS.

any1 know why it would look worse on the higher setting ? any help is appreciated.

If I recall correctly, nVidia cards can't go above AAx4 with HDR on. It's a limitation of the card.

I heard that as well. Is this limitation the same on 8800 cards?

BTW, he said HL2, not Ep1. So HDR would have no consequence.

6xAA is only on ATI cards(so if turned on then it wouldn't put any AA). nvidia is limited to 4xAA
