Yes, if you look closely you can see one of these moments in the pictures, its also more cinematic in that I tried to get things to time perfectly to the music. Its also a lot longer. If Antlion Troopers was one combat section then number 2 has 4x that amount.

Yeah that was the first thing I had finished, way back when I first started on it. Then pc trouble, but now finally able to close the chapter on the map soon.

well this is a mod technically. I did add some coding changes although mostly minor. Like I added in an Antlion Kills hud element so people can see how many antlions they killed. There is also a basic control system to control the allies and some changes to how combine and antlions interact with takedamage. The main reason I chose to do it was for the combine issue whcih was hardcoded in the dll. It just isn't very fun when every ally dies in 1 hit, now they actually have a chance to survive. :rolling:
 
I guess you commented out the bit that said "damage = pTarget->m_iHealth + 50" then :p

Valve has a wierd sence of humour. That damage level in just rubbing salt in the wound. Unless it's to make sure that it blows them back. I don't know much about code.
 
It's to make sure they fly back. Otherwise, the antlion damage is minimal, and when they do kill a Combine soldier, they just crumple, rather than be tossed miles away.

Well looking at the comments it seems they were planning to have some sort of interaction occur, maybe something like the combine getting caught in the stabbers for a bit. But obviously whatever they planned was scrapped.

Are you keeping the original dropship intro with the Starship Troopers music?
 
About ****ing time, RJG! I've been looking forward to this for a while!
Loved the first one. As long as this one is just as 'epic', and exciting, I'll love it just as much.
 
I heard somewhere your including an updated version of the first one and it should play like a mini-campaign?
 
I was planning on doing that but since the second has been taking so much time I decided to just release this asap.

My advice: don't spend too much time on remaking older projects. Move on to new ones (for example: Hydra mod) and make them as good as possible.
 
You need someone to beta-test on low-end system? Contact me! :p
 
Is there a way to disable the scoreboard?

I liked the feeling that you thought the antlions were never going to stop coming in the first one.

You don't have to submit scores. And you don't have to look at the scoreboard.

You press a button to look at the scoreboard and at the end of the game it asks you if you wish to submit your scores to the score list. Other than that you don't have to worry about the scores if you don't want to.

EDIT: And about that skin, The way it is now is the skins are setup for elites like a class system with color denoting class. And I'd really like them all to be consistently colored other than the class color.
