I busted out my old N64 the other day. I forgot what an amazing game Buck Bumble was. What ever happened to truly unique games such as this? The control scheme and gameplay were perfect in every way in my opinion. The engine was nice, the movement was perfectly fluid and the game itself is a lot of fun. Seeing this game sort of rienforces the fact to me that game developers don't take many chances anymore. They don't go out on a limb anymore with cooky ideas unless your name is Will Wright.

For the people that have never played it, you're a bee that flies around in the third person view through gardens and sewers and stuff. The objects around you are huge since you're the size of a bee fighting other bugs of various sorts. You gain an inventory of weapons. You have to save a rural England country side from a race of bugs infected with chemicals from a chemical spill.

Sounds kind of dumb I guess, but the gameplay is so good it makes up for it.
