Any chance of x1800 being released in AGP ?

if not what do you guys recommend i get ...x850xt or 6800 ultra since they are the best agp cards out atm. Thanks for any feedback :)
 
i dont think that it would be released in agp...i would recommend that you just get onw of the ones that you listed, do some research be fore you chose though.
 
chances are they wont but it would cost so much more than a pci-e one anyways because of the hsi bridge chip, but it all depends on the manufacturer
 
Chances are telling me "no". It would be interesting to see if they've actually surpassed the bandwidth capability of the AGP bus though.
 
I think only the X1300 and X1600 are currently planned to support AGP. Still, the latter isn't a bad choice. It performs on par with the X800 series, supports SM3.0, and has hardware acceleration of H.264 and other HD video formats (without acceleration, most current PCs can't handle H.264 @ 1080p... and struggle at 720p). It's also planned to retail at about $250, IIRC. It's worth considering. Who knows... some people may even find a way to soft mod it into an X1800 or unlock additional pipes through some other method.

yea most likeley they wont but like i said its the manufacturs choice to release in agp or not
