Any good sites or places to find sound effects?

Hey guys... I do a lot of my own modding in general since I like to do a bit of everything but one thing I simply can't make on my own are sound effects in general.

I've searched the net for about a week looking for good, FREE, sound effects or sound effect libraries but I'm afraid I have yet to find any.

Could any of you guys provide any advise on where I could find some good sound effect libraries free of charge, perhaps some free gunshot sound effects and all that stuff? I'd like to start building my own sound library for my own personal use in my mods so that I can stop worrying about it.

Where do you guys go to get your sound effects?

Well, you'd be better off, if you're looking to start a library, to just by some relativly in-expensive CDs.

For a fee you can purchase access to very big film sound effects libraries

well the thing is krushdbug, some of these sound effects I'm looking for won't just be for HL2 mods. I mod Max Payne 2 and I have 2 big TC's I'm working on so I need sound effects for those. However, if you cool sound/music guys would be interested in helping me out with those in exchange for some cool credits in the readme/mod then I'd be very pleased

Sound effect artists are really rare so if any of you guys want to help me out with that then I'd be glad to have you.
