Like the title says, is there? this game has the same issues that are affecting HL:2 (stuttering) along with a few other bugs.

Homer said:It looks like activision has not given trokia the green light to work on this game anymore, it sucks pretty hard, but the bug-ridden release we have now is most likely all we are going to get.
Phate said:Are you basing that on anything? I've heard from a few Troika employees that they are in talks with Activision over a patch.
shapeshifter said:well if they don't make one, thats like activison saying "fu*k you" to all of us then shoving their foot up our asses.
which in turn would = Me never buying another activison product again.
mortiz said:There's a good chance that there'll be fanmade patches and/or unofficial patches from Troika, remember Troika are the one's who are going to suffer if they don't fix it, because I know that I for one will think twice before buying another Troika game if they don't fix this one. Activision are big enough that they don't really care.
Troika have had 3 relatively dissapointing games so far (considering most of them are ex-black isle developers) so in order to stay above water I think they need to fix this game.
If Activision do publish VALVe's game we won't have the same situation we have between Troika and Activision, because VALVe are successful and rich enough to make their own demands on the contract, plus they have effectively their own publishing department, STEAM.
Mac said:I don't think you can put the blame on Troika. Someone has to pay them, they gotta pay bills and stuff too you know. And if Activision won't pay them to do another patch, i dont see how you can put the blame on troika.
mortiz said:It doesn't matter if it was Troika's fault or not, they're the ones who are going to suffer. Troika have proven that when their games come out they are generally unfinished. Whether that was Troika's or Activision's fault doesn't matter, Troika will get blamed in the long run by bad sales. People aren't going to buy Troika's games because "it wasn't their fault", they're going to buy them based on review scores and such, and they haven't been so good so far.
