you fasshole you won a place in my sig :p

the surprise is that everybody has to return the game to the shops, because of faulty disc's :flame:

my experience with Valve: the surprise will probably be delayed, and again, and again.....

Christmas 2004 edition of PC Gamer has something that could be related. The Spy states:

"With Valve using up their bandwidth servicing us with Half-life 2, you'd think they'd have enough on their plates. But no, The Spy has snatched secret blueprints from under their noses (well, alright - they left them in the toilet and The Spy had to go) which reveal they're currently working feverishly on the next CS: Source update.

Due some time in December we're expecting to see more classic maps including de_prodigy, two new player models and one brand new map. This is part of the reason Valve introduced Steam: constant, after-sale updates."

As much as I was hoping for something really exciting I think this may well be the big "surprise"!

Also, thanks to PC Gamer UK who I didn't ask permission to copy from but...well...just try and find me =o)

I can't wait to see what the surpise is. I'm chuffed that the full SDK will be out. so we can see some good mods in the making

If HL2 Deathmatch DID come out i think everyone on this forum would go mental, then again we have all read that article (sorry no link) where it says "We understand that people don't like CS SOURCE and lets just say you will be playing something new shortly with the Physgun"

It was something like that but i know thats not spot on sorry.

Not much of a surprise, really, seeing as Valve publically announced this weeks ago.

Er... You're point being?.. Im 17 years too... Big deal =P...
The suprise however is obvious!... Kung fu fighting with the G-man in slow motion!... Right?.... No?... You gotta be kidding me!?

i remember laughing when someone said the big suprise would be cs_assault.

oh how i chuckled by the candle's flame, long into the cold night, straight into the jaws of clammy death.

I'm really hoping its an expansion, to be released before Christmas :D

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!1111!

Zombie Basketball - hmmm sounds possible!

Apparently some guy on SA who claims to be from VU says he thinks it's a physics based MP DM mod for modders to use as a template.

Why VU should know that, even if he DOES exist and IS from VU, I don't know.

For everyone's sanity, please don't be expecting a HL2 Multiplayer. CS:S update would indeed be a "surprise" by the looser definition of the word, as they never told us exactly when it was going to be. Plus, remember the interview with Chuck here when he said that CS:S was the same gameplay but with a few "surprises"?

Bah, HL2DM with only the gravgun would be fun for all of 10 minutes. I would like a true 'made by valve' HL2DM, even if it's only on one map (stalkyard: source?). Then modders could just make custom maps and keep HL2DM alive for years.
