any way of moving your half-life2 installation to an offline computer?

Hey everyone!

I bought the game yesterday and now i have a big problem: I have one computer with internet access that unfortunately is way too slow to play half life 2. My other computer would do fine but I can't connect it to the internet. What I did yesterday is install the game on the internet computer, activate it via steam and everything went okay. Now I am looking for a way to move the half life installation to the computer without internet connection and I already tried to do so by simply copying all half life and steam files. However when i tried it out the offline mode of steam wasn't activated instead i got a steam update window that said "unable to connect to steam". Has anyone any ideas how I could get half life 2 and the steam offline mode to run on this computer?

yeah i have the same problem ...but i could hook my computer up to the internet for 5 mintues... although my parents woudl kill me ... but im not going to until steam or somthing actually starts to work!!!!!!!
